At Woodland Creek Corral we train champions! We specialize in working with Tennessee Walkers from foal to finish for the trail and the rail. The focus of our training is a hands on natural horsemanship method that begins with trust, respect and a willing partnership. We strive to produce a super smooth gait, naturally! We work with all of our foals from birth, desensitizing them from the things they will encounter in life at an early age. We train each foal 3-4 days a week until they are weaned to ensure the best possible start. We do our very best to have them broke to lead, stand tied and trailer before six months old.
Our training facility is specifically designed to train the best quality trail horses. Our horses experience everything from water crossings, multiple logs and downed trees, machinery, road riding and wildlife. We even like to have a little fun. We stand, jump, rope and run barrels.
If it’s a show horse you’re looking for we train champions! Woodland Creek Corral and Miss Dicey Doll won the title of 2013 Canadian Walking Horse champion. We are also home to World Champion I’m Magic Mike and 2X World Champion Muchacha Grande who will both be
making a run for the 2014 title. We train our horses naturally with no harsh tactics to do a show stopping flat walk, run walk and canter. Our trail horses also display all three gaits as well as a rack and gallop.
Outside horses and other breeds are accepted for training in either light shod/country pleasure class or trail riding. We can help you with problem situations, give a rusty horse a refresher or break a new one as well as teach them to gait or even neck rein. We offer customized training to suit your needs.
